The TIP Board of Directors recently approved an expanded set of leadership for the OpenLAN Project Group, including six new Co-chairs for the OpenLAN PG and five new leads across the OpenWiFi and the OpenLAN Switching Subgroups.

The six OpenLAN PG co-chairs include Charlie Allgrove, Senior Solutions Architect at GlobalReach; Howard Buzick, SVP of Business Development at American Bandwidth; Jack Raynor, Engineering Lead at Meta; Mohsin Maqsood, Director of Product Innovation at WorldVue; Sachin Mehra, Managing Director and Founder of Inventum; and Steve Martin, CEO and co-founder of Shasta Cloud.


These co-chairs join the expanded Project Steering Committee (PSC) along with existing members: Andy Davidson, Group CTO, ASK4 Ltd; Bhuvnesh Sachdeva, SVP, HFCL Ltd; Marcel Chénier, CTO and Co-Founder, NetExperience—A Pavlov Media Company; and Udit Mehrotra, CEO, Shyam Spectra, Private Limited.

The 10-member PSC, responsible for the project group’s day-to-day operation, is now meeting weekly to develop strategy and priorities.


In addition to leadership changes at the PG level, both the OpenWiFi and OpenLAN Switching Subgroups have also named new slates of Co-Leads.  In OpenWiFi, Jaspreet Sachdev, Co-Founder & Co-CEO, Kinara Systems, Inc.,  Marcel Chénier, CTO and Co-Founder, NetExperience – A Pavlov Media Company, and Sachin Mehra, Managing Director and Founder, Inventum are now Co-Leads.  Similarly, the OpenLAN Switching Subgroup leaders are now Binny Jeshan, Solutions Architect, Truminds Software Systems, and Teng Tai Hsu, Vice President, Edgecore.
